The Renovation

Breathing life Into Legacy

Combining top-tier modern residential design including earning LEED platinum status with preservation of the past.

914 Elm Street

914 Elm Street saw several owners after the Salvage Corps ceased operations,  eventually becoming nothing more than a storage and maintenance space for CHCA. In 2019, the building was bought by Drew and Kim Myers who wanted to turn the space into their residence.

Drew and Kim quickly discovered the unique history behind the building and dedicated themselves to not only breathe new life into this historic building, but to honor and preserve its legacy.

Through a 4 year renovation process, original elements were continually uncovered. Original red brick from 1925 was uncovered behind plaster, original light fixtures tucked away in the attic, long-forgotten drying racks, and even five different slide pole holes. Each of these elements was protected and restored in an effort to memorialize the roots of this long-forgotten building.

914 Elm Street was renovated to the standards of the Historic Court Street District of Cincinnati, maintaining its external appearance throughout the renovations.

Where We Stand Today

914 Elm introduces a fresh purpose and enduring beauty for the next generation, all the while preserving the legacy of the men who lived and worked here.
